help! car alarm constantly beeping???

I have a 1999 E320 with about 140k and just recently whenever I unlocked the car, doesnt matter with which key fob or manually or by remote, the car alarm will BEEP at me every fee seconds. Its not the normal siren sound either its just a constant tone beep every few seconds and the only way to stop it is to push the panic button until the alarm goes off and then push the panic button again to turn off the alarm. I've tried disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU, there is no check engine light, everything as far as I can tell is fine with the car. If I open my truck the beeping doesn't start, but if I unlock the car the beeping will start and will not stop even if the car is off and locked.

Sorry my friend, I think this one you need to bring it to the dealer and check what is the problem. It could be due to simple problem like short circuit or faulty door switch. If to fix it is too expensive, consider took off the 2 fuses of the alarm under the seat. And your central lock would still work

You can also try to replace the siren or disconnect it. It's under $100 if I'm not mistaken and located in the passenger side front fender. Sometimes the battery pack inside the siren starts leaking with age and etches away components on the circuit board inside. Remove the front wheel, remove the mudguard and you'll see the siren sitting low inside the fender towards the passenger door.

Is there anyway to disconnect it without having to remove my wheel? I'm at college right now and all my tools and jacks are at home

Have you checked the battery voltage? May be getting old; low voltage can cause all kimds of misc elect gremlins.
