:nix Love-hate relationship with the car right now...
In Dec/Jan; had to have the diff overhauled due to a whining bearing. Had the entire exhaust replaced including oxicat (diesel)
Feb; my wife slid on icy roads and busted a rim, a front spring and a stabilizer rod. When all that was replaced including two new Michelins, the car had the all-wheel alignment 3 times before it was pretty back to normal.
March; battery fails.
April; cylinder head gasket failed. heat-exchanger gasket and all fuel return lines replaces.
May; after the headgasket I decided to do the coolant and thermostat and the tranny oil and filter.
Jun; both front door catches replaced due to squeeking/cracking.
Last week; alternator failed. Stranded, turned out the car had been running off the battery for 4 days or so! (diesel: no ignition system!)
Yesterday; drivers side rear window regulator failed. Had to tape-up the window to keep it closed. (just finished replacing it this afternoon)
Coming up; a/c compressor coupling developed a rattle and sometimes doesn't engage lately...
My wife is nagging bigtime, and I'm having to defend myself in front of friends and relatives. I know it's just bad luck that regular maintenance and long-time fixes are following eachother up rapidly. We have to go on holiday to France next week, a 2,800km round trip towing a small bagage trailer. I swear if the car pulls anything else on me I'm going to put it in neutral and push her into a river...grrr! Anyone else here know the feeling?!

I also need to fix the engine mounts.
