I think I'm going to replace my original head unit with the CD 400 model. It seems to be popular and achieve good results in the W210 bose system. I have a couple of questions that I was hoping to get answered before I take the plunge.
-Is this the latest model Nakamichi that I should consider for my car? If not, what other model should I check out?
-Does it have an ipod hookup? I didn't see one in the specs.

CD400 is a fantastic unit...have it in my older BMW

Currently have a CD300 (cheaper model with MP3) in my w210 with factory Bose, and the sound is MUCH better than with stock HU.

I would get the CD500...SQ of the CD400 and can play mp3 CD's.

I was a long time Nakamichi lover having owned a few of their home audio components.

I have checked the CD400 out and found out it received a Design and Engineering Showcase Award at the 2003 International Consumer Electronics Show! 2003!

I don't think iPods even existed back then. Again, I don't deny Nakamichi quality at all - it just seems way obsolete!
