An E320 I looked at today...
On the highway, when I was going about 55-60 mph, when I gave it a little gas, a whining noise came from the back. I let off the gas, it goes away. Other than that, pretty good. The sales guy said he would have it looked at and he will call me back.
Other than that, I'm not too familiar with these cars. Even though my friend has a '99 E320, and my cousin has a '98 E430, both black. I would really like something with a V8 though. How is the reliability on these cars?

runs great needs some TLCbut it's a great car i like the v-6 would not mind a v-8 i payed $3500 cash for my benz

can't go wrong with that car i love it i put almost 10.000 mil in less than 3 months still running srtong with no problems What do you guys think? There is a small dent however, right near the passenger side low beam headlight. Not a big deal on an otherwise perfect looking car. I trust this dealer, he's been in business a long time, he sells cars pretty fast, and none of his cars are salvaged. My parents did buy a '99 Dodge minivan from him about 8 years ago, 150k on it now and it runs great. So I think its safe to say this Merc will be the same.
EDIT: There is some pixels missing on the right side of the cluster, I think its supposed to display the time? Is that a big deal? How expensive/easy of a fix is this?
Missing pixels are a common problem on the W210. On the right (tachometer) there is a gear indicator and the clock. On the left (speedometer) there is the outside temperature. Some people have fixed theirs but the best solution is to have the cluster rebuilt or replaced.
Good luck if you buy it.
any adice on the 4 matic or things I need to look out for?
