cracked speedometer glass cover ...
the glass speedometer cluster cover on my 2002 E260 is cracked from bottom to near top (on the fuel gauge side).... has anyone got the same problem? can i replace only the glass cover or it should be the whole speedometer cluster? advise please .... thank u

You can disassemble the cluster. Search for something like "dashboard pixel fix" here and on Benzworld.org and you'll see instructions to remove and open the cluster. I would recommend buying a used cluster on eBay. Disassemble them both, put the good glass from the eBay one onto yours, and you're good to go.

There are five tabs to lift up to remove your old plexiglass cover. It is a simple five minute deal to change them out. The covers are not sold separately. Contact Potomac German Auto for a used cluster. They sell for around $225.00 with shipping included in that price. then resell your spare on ebay for someone who has bad pixals.
