Clear
the code, see if it comes back on,will not affect running of the car in anyway, unless you havea smog test coming up.First see if it stays clear and then we can take it from there.

Happens a lot and you can search for more on the problem. Try po400, too.
It's an electric motor driven exhaust gas recirc system.
No, you cannot turn off the light without fixing the problem.

Sometimes moisture
in the check valve trips the light and you can clear it and it goes away. Now if it came back,he needs to check the relay or fuse to the sec air pump and check the valve.Testing power to the sec air pump is easy at start up you can hear it running,,or jumping a 12v source to the brown wire to it and ground will test if it is working.

cost? smog hose cracked to replace 13 bucks,so you need to check it has not dried out and leaking.check/shut off valve not that much.Fuse easy and cheap.Air pump,if shot(rarely) you can pick up used at most mb wrecking yards.Lets see what it is first before worrying cost.

Ok quick tip on how it sets off code. The engine module reads manifold pressure to trip this code. If there is any kind of vacuum leak in the engine it could trip this code. The thing is the when their is a vacuum leak it doesn't note the difference in manifold pressure when the secondary actuator is switched on. Thats how it knows there is a problem. Not by 02 sensor readings.
