im actually suprised how smooth it runs and the throttle response is much faster than a merc, its pretty cool you have to see it in person its much better... I cant wait to be driving it on a regular basis

got her all done was cruisin in it and it started slipping real bad so i parked it... i went to pull it out of the garage and bam no first gear so i pulled the tranny out and pulled it apart and the o ring on the forward drum cracked allowing the fluid to leak by and burned up my first gear clutches.. anyway ill have the parts for the tranny on tuesday put it back together and back in the car this weekend and hopefully make a video of it.. ive got everything done except for the ac lines which id like to hook up soon... driveshaft shop in nc is making the driveshaft right now and will hopefully have that back before this weekend.. it turns out im not that good at making two driveshafts meet haha!! oh yeah i also have to finish the exhaust but i like it with open headers really
after all this i have to bring the car to a company in chicago called mid city engineering that is going to make all the toyota electronics meet up with my mercedes electronics so ill have tac and engine temp low oil stuff like that on my cluster.. for now i only have speed and fuel level haha
yesterday i started at noon and ended around 8 o clock removing all the rust on this pig, grinded and sandblasted all day that was no fun.. but it looks so much better already
i guess now that i think about it i still have alot of work to do but im really close!

So, I was thinking about doing this swap. Hows the wiring? Are you running the stock computer or a standalone? Anything else you can tell me to watch for?
Thanks

no you can use the factory toyota ecu... it would be bad *** if you gutted your car and made it a full blown track car with a cage in it and everything... but as a daily driver you would never be able to do what ive done because of the sbc braking system and the can system in your car the eis, man i could go on forever.. plus being a 4 matic man that would be a pain in the ***... cant you just buy a front cover for your car? or tig weld it up
it would be cool to put like a toyota 4 runner tranny in it with a 2jz so you had 4 wheel drive 2jz...

Great build. I have a 2005 W211 E320 4matic. I lent it to my lil brother and he smacked it up. Frame untouched but block is cracked where the oil filter is. I was REAL upset, but that's what little brothers are for, Right?

I would highly recommend waiting to see how this W210 2JZ swap comes out first. The fact is that W210 is much easier to work on and play with then a W211. Your W211 has tons more of electronics on it and it would make the swap much harder. Lets see the W210 work first.

ML320, Looking for my S4
Sick build, if my car wasn't totaled by a civic I was going down this same path. MUCH props. I'll send you a pm about wiring etc. I want a new daily and this seems all to perfect. Sleeper looks, and bat outa hell potential.
Also, Oh Lord I've been looking for bloody ages and I can't seem to find your 10second W210 (wagon) 5.4K swap runs ANYWERE. Could you please post a link to them.
