Buying 01/02 E55 AMG T

Hi

I will probably head down to Germany in a couple of weeks to buy a 210 E55 Wagon. I have two possible cars, both with almost all equipment delivered on this model. both are driven almost 180 000km. one 01/2001 and one 06/2001 (2002 model)

What should I look at when I'm there to guard myself from buying some **** I will only get trouble with?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
All the usual suspects

live with the window regulator issue if it never lets go don't woory.
Main things private party talk about the service history, have it inspected, check brake wear, pixels working, suspension wear, all of the things that it is better to have in good condition pre purchase than worrying about post purchase.Make sure all recall work was performed, inspect for rust.Operation of trans should be smooth and progressive.
Enjoy
It will be quick

The rear door on the wagon is different than the sedan? I assume the same design/manufacturing applies and that is why you mention the window regulator? Just curious. Can you deliver that e55 wagon here to the states please!!

You should check into what it takes to bring them in. With the MB overseas delivery program, the car is returned to the factory and brought into US spec. before shipping back.

To bring a car into the US, if the specific model was never sold here by the factory, then the regitstrered importer (which you need to use) will charge much more to get the car DOT certified. DOT / NHTSA / CUstomes websites can provide more details, but unless you have the problem of too much money on your hands, fuggedaboutit.
