Tranny tube is in the back, near the firewall, on the passenger side. There is no dipstick from the factory. It will have a locking cap on it. It might be partially obscured by the air filter tube, not sure on your engine.

Oh ok its in the back of the motor (which makes sense being that the tranny is right behind it...). Ill def check for it tmw and check the condition of the fluid.

so an e-420 can't be worth more than $5000? is that what you're saying?

Check for noise tapping coming from the valve covers,signs of oil feed tube issues common to that M119 engine. Inspect spring perches. Change the transmission fluid and filter. RRead the diy's on www.benzworld.org w210 section.

W210 e55 1999
1999 w210 e55 amg converting to a e320 w210 1998 because of rust

ok im really in need of a little help im trying to change all the parts of my 1999 w210 e55 including motor-transmition-front end -and back end could someone that has done that give my a little heads up on what to know before i start or could it be done has someone already try something similar ......
