Need to Remove Battery Neg for Door Panel Work?
Thanks to TMandel I found the article on door panel removal and regulator replacement.
One nagging question left is the requirement to remove the negative terminal of the battery for air bag purposes (not to set off the airbag during the repair). I saw an YouTube video that didn't do such along with two other articles on door panel removal that didn't mention negative terminal removal though they mentioned prying off the airbag tab.

Unhook the neg
via the special door on the vertical part of the rear pass side seat.
If you unhook the ab without doing that you will need a trip to the shop and have the warning shut off on an sds machine.
Unhooh the battery and leave the ab plugged in.Just be careful around it.Be sure to note the wire hookups for the lights in the door.

Unhook the Battery Negative of RR Window regulator work.
For all who reads the list, I took mine apart today, and being cautious unhooked the negative terminal before work. Turns out for 2002 E320 there is no airbags in the rear compartment. Still, guess better cautious than sorry.
I'll go through the reprogramming procedure once finished.

I replaced my left rear regulator and didn't disconnect the battery and I'm still alive. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
