Overhead map light no longer works

Hey dudes. My overhead map light is no longer working and i cant really figure out why. In the past, the connection in that light was pretty crappy, and you would have to fool with it to get it to turn on. Now it just doesnt turn on at all. I even tried to make sure that everything was getting a proper connection. Any suggestions on how to get this light to work? Is there maybe a specific fuse for this bulb? thanks for the help!

I'd susperct the bulb finally blew out. But I'm sure it is attached to a fuse somewhere. If you don't have a fuse chart there might be some posted on the forum.

unfortunately its not that easy. The bulb is not the source of the issue, i changed bulbs and still no go. Idk if there is a fuse that is solely for the map light but if there is, ill change that and give it a shot. All the lights work except for the map light. I looked at the fuse diagrams and didnt find a specific fuse for the front map light. But there was a fuse for the rear reading light, seperate from rear dome light. But our cars dont have a rear reading light! so idk.

That's confusing all right. Since you checked the connection and that seems O.K. do you mean the socket too? Other than a specific fuse that's all I can think of. Like you said, there is a rear light switched from the front light console but I thought it was only a dome light too.
