has anyone thought of putting the new 2003 w211 e-class or w203 c-class side mirrors on a w210 benz, i've noticed that the light on the new ones are longer and nicer then the older ones with the small light?
also has anyone painted the door handles on a 1996-1999 e 320 w210? i don;t like the black and am trying to get it all white but my bodyshop said if i paint it in a matter of time it'll chip off?
what can i do?

The newer 211 and 203 mirrors are too big for the 202 and 210...they fit with the same bolts as your current mirrors but it will look like a nickle on a dime...the mirrors are bigger then the baseplate on the door.
Get yourself the painted updated 210 doorhandles (out of the european "classic")...these are without chrome and come prepainted from mercedes (not available in all pre modelupdated colors). The 4 handles and 2 rear endpieced plus one IR frontpiece cost approx 200USD including shipping from europe (just about as much as painting might be?)...
These handles fit the 202, 208, 210...

You can order the chrome holding painted doorhandles at any US dealership...the non chrome holding doorstrips were never available on the US spec W210s and therefore the US dealership will not be able to get you the rear door handles (front door handles come from the W208).
I myself have shipped out several painted door handle sets in the past.
