Service a/b checklist

what is in each service?
Ok here is my problem, I bought a 99 e430 in july with 13k, and it had had the oil changed every 4500 miles, but I can find no records of an a/b service being done. I'm now at 20k, what service should I have done and what is in it? However, I know the owner had the window regulator fixed by the dealer at 10k and I'm guessing a service was preformed then.

I'd say you're due for a B-service. If a service was done at 10,000 miles when it was in for the window regulator, it was an A-service, so it needs a B-service now. If a service has never been done, it still needs a B-service because its too late for an A-service. Make sense? Also, since the car is 4 years old, I'd recommend replacing the coolant, brake fluid, and A/C dust filters if they've never been done.

Exclamation ok don't laugh at me

.... my 2000 E55, just purchased, says Service Level A Exceeded By 200mi. Can this service, which seems to be, according to some posts, an in-depth oil change, be completed by my local Jiffy Lube? Also is the resetting of the service interval the same as resetting the oil service?.... Please Help as I do not want to do anything that will bring $$'Pain down the road.

Please don't go to JL. You should have synthetic oil, and I wouldn't trust JL to put the correct stuff in there, or enough of it. Best to find a specialist.

But yes, the A and B services are essentially $350 oil changes. The services listed in the previous post are not included in the regular B service. They are additional options.
