transmission issues, help please
So I think we need an overhaul. Slips in R and hesitates just a little in D. Just did flush and it ran well for a month now slipping again. Any ideas how much I'm gonna have to spend? Hubby wants do dump the car I say no way! Love this car (95 E 320 Wagon) and just need to get it running right.
Thanks
Thanks

"Dump the car" !!?? No way.
Your problem may not be as serious as you think. Sign up at www.benzworld.org, if you haven't, and look in the W210 forum. There are some very knowledgeable tranny guys there -- in particular "loubapache" seems to know just about everything!
In particular, take a look at http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w210...n-problem.html (note that it's a later transmission than yours being discussed, but still...).
Good luck!

My dear there is no reason to dump this car. Take it to an inde shop and have them look it over. Stay away from the dealer. Look in your area for shops.

Your 1995 is a `
W124 not a W210 and you have the 4speed auto,non electronically controlled.
You can get used warrantied units and install one.
Spending big money installing a rebuilt trans in a 1995 would run more than the old girl is worth.
Install used or get rid of the car.Your hubby is correct, doing otherwise would be pssing money down a bottomless hole.Used or time to cut bait and run
Don't nobody argue with the logic......You can't
