another ASR issue

I hope that you folks can help me with my 1997 e320. Was shopping today and left the lights on(long story). came back to a dead battery. Had a stranger help me jump start (was an hour away from my house).when the car started the ASR light is on on the bottom left corner of the dash and also in the odometer are when the car started. The car now only runs between 500-1000 rpm. and will not rev up at all. Treid to unhook the battery didnt help. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Car ran fine and no ASR light ever before this happened?!

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Jumping it

will not charge it.
You need to get it on a 10 amp charger at least overnight.(8 hours)
The alternator is not meant to charge a dead battery so driving it will not fully charge a dead battery.

When charged start the car and turn your steering wheel all the way left to all the way right and back a few times. That will recenter the data from the steering wheel angle sensor and remove the warning you are getting.
That also happens when you disconnect a battery as well as when the battery is fully dead.So you did both those things
Geter done
