At the dyno today

My car put down 249 HP and 256 TQ which is less then 1/2 of what an E55 and CLS55 put down today but its more then I thought I would get. My current mods are Kleemann headers, Metal'cats, Evosport underdrive pulleys, and heavy 19" Carlssons.

Nice! I wonder if an ECU tune might help you gain a little better hp with the mods you've done so far.

I'm sure it would. I've got some future mods in store and then I'll be in the market for a custom tune.

That is still nice-- 295 HP at the crank assuming 18% of drivetrain loss. My lowly 320 is so darn slow even after all the mods haha

Planning to slap a blower on or something? I am very tempted to get a 6.3 AMG motor on my car. I need to find a cheap source. Any suggestions?

A bone stock 2002 CLK55 put down 300whp (factory rating of 349) and a 03 CLK55 put down 306 (factory rating 362). I was about 50 and 60 HP down from both of these cars so I figured I'm right around 300 maybe a bit more if I swapped back the factory 17"s instead of the heavier Carlssons.

Ya supercharger has been waiting a long time to go on . I'm getting serious about it now I have a few more mods in store after that. I'm hoping to eventually get it up into the high 300's at the wheels.

Don't know much about trying to get a 6.3 into a W210. There is a guy over on the crossfire board who put a V8 in his crossfire and it sounded like he could probably get a 55K engine to work in our cars you might want to talk with him if you're serious.

I'm not 100% sure what correction factor to use but wouldn't 18% equate to about 304 HP?

304 x .18 = 54.72 then subtract 54 from 304 and we end up at 349.

Either way I am happy with the results as I was expecting less.

I was just using your dyno-ed HP 249 then multiply by 1.18 = 294

Hey,

I have a e430 as well. I have the ECU done, and evo sport overdrive pulleys. I wonder how much horspower i put out now in comparison to you. How much power are those headers claimed to give you?

Kleemann said 10% for NA cars and 15% for supercharged. so that would be 27.5HP on our cars. I don't know if that is with a tune or not. My car does not have a tune.

I'm sorry I do not fully understand your question. Could you be more specific?

Hmm interesting. The ecu tune i have "claims" about 30 hp as well. Hopefully i am putting down roughly the same power as you r since i have the same power mods minus the headers.
How many miles does your car have?

By any chance do you have dynometer? It's the application that you can get in a i phone or itouch? Just wondering if you have it or have compared your results.

Just cracked 70,000 miles last week. No I don't have that app.

Just double checked the Kleemann website and it says 7-10% for NA engines. That means somewhere between 19 and 27 HP gain.

Thats pretty cool thanks.
Do you have pictures of your car posted anywhere? Sounds pretty nice with all the mods you have.

I don't have too many pics posted. Most of them are probably all in threads I started. Heres a link to the 36 threads I've started.
