1996 E320 Sunroof will not close with key
OK, last fall my wife left the rear passenger light on for a week or so on my 96 E320 and the battery went Dead. I recharged the battery and all was well after I synchronized the power windows, door locks, seat etc. I did not syncro the sunroof (I forgot to) so I just did it using the manual. Now I can lock using the key and everything operates as it should with the sunroof closing, BUT when I unlock and keep pressed, the windows open but the sunroof does not. I placed the key in the steering lock opened the sunroof and held it there for a few seconds after fully opened, closed it held the button a few seconds and did the same with the pop up. Still will not open with the key but it will clse with the key. I even attempted the synco by pointing the key at the mirror area, tapped it twice and inserted it into the ignition, moving it to position (2) as the manual says without any luck!

Can anyone help?? Are you saying I can press and hold the unlock button on my remote and open all my windows and sunroof with it?

Yes, before the unlock would open the sunroof along with the windows. When I press and hold the button on the key to unlock the car, the locks click open, the windows open "BUT" the Sunroof doesn't open now.

Well it's not all in Caps so I am not yelling, no offense meant. It is just easier for me to proof read when it is a little larger letters. If smaller letters is what everyone likes here, so be it.

At least in IE and Firefox you can zoom the page by holding CTRL and pressing + and - on the numpad. Reset zoom with CTRL and * or 0..
Did it open with the key before your battery was flat? Does the auto function work?

Yes, it worked before I screwed up the synconization by not driving it soon enough after my wife drove it. 
I am not sure what you mean by the auto function. 
If you mean did it work with the transmitter before the battery went south, yes.
