Battery Drain issue on 02 E320
I have 02 E320 4matic Wagon.
Few weeks ago, when I was away, alarm went off for overnight (neighbors told me) and drained battery. After that incident, I jump start and drove good 100 miles. Then if I don't drive a day, I can't start the car next morning. I kept jump start it and got tired of doing and called MB Road Assistance to change the battery. MB's road assistant came and checked battery and told me it's not a battery cause not starting up and told me to check in for service to dealer shop for electrical checkup to find out where the drain are happening.
So, I took my car to a MB/BMW auto shop. They told me (over the phone) today that the drain is happening from DOM lights section and part cost $700 to replace them. Well.. I searched this forum for common battery drain on E320 and most of them was seat control unit, not DOM lights units.
any MB guru to advise me what to do?
Thanks in advance.
