Should I get Chrome highlights for the hood vent and chrome for the trunck handle?
Tell your opinion, I have a black '99 E430 and want to add chrome accents. I want to add chrome accents to the hoods vent strips that lay right below the windshield and chrome to the truck handle. I beleive it sticks on with 3M adhesive. Give me your thoughts, good or is it too tacky?

It’s a personal preference but since you asked for an opinion, I would strip every piece of chrome off my 1999 E300 if I could. I definitely would not add any accents that would have to be taped on. Anyway that’s just me and my 2 cents.

Since you asked, IMO the chrome looks bad, especially around the trunk (gold looks even worse). The headlight rings might be ok, but nothing else. I think the cars look good as they are - understated elegance.

IMO i think u should leave the chrome out, it'll look good on the clear headlights (2000+), but i wouldn't personally chrome out the vents and truck. Ive got the headlamp rings, but thats it. I chromed out the rear lights on my E, and wish i didnt, im upgrading them very soon to the facelift model.
