Need an info
I'm using 124 this time and thinking to buy a 210 for my 2nd e klass ride. In my country, the type option was more limited it only e230(96-99),e320(96-99),e240(00-02),e260(00-02).
I'm thinking to hunt e230'99...but still haven't the clue what is the most I've to watched from it's car and what is the different between each type I mention earlier.
Like example, in 124 for certain type we should look after the harness wiring or jetronic for the previous engine type (m102/03).
I've read previous thread in here and rarely found the e230
and try to search in wikipedia for 210 but still haven't brighten bout the 210 detail. I need to know exactly what I'm looking for before I started to hunt the 1.Regards,

What is the different between 210, production 96-98(daimler benz) and 98-02(daimler chrysler)?
Is it any critical different or it just the same production? Some say that the 96-97 is the piloting project with some failure?
Is it true?
Inspect spring perches, rust, service history, suspension fittings and bushings.
Buy the best model of what you are looking for, make sure you have it professionally inspected before you buy it and then do your own Maintenance on it and enjoy

The US forum members only know the W210 as (at least) 6-cylinder cars with leather interiors and climate control. But there is so much more in the W210 world. In Europe we also have 4 and 5 cylinder engines (both petrol and diesel), 'classic' / 'elegance' / 'avantgarde' trim versions, cloth or vinyl (taxi) interiors, manual AC or no AC at all!!! Models depend on the country and the tax-system.
i.e. for diesel W210's
In the Netherlands you had my 220D, 290TD (5-cylinder) and 300TD.
In Italy there was a 250TD to meet tax requirements.
In Belgium the same engine versions have a few HP less to avoid higher tax.

In that case I'll narrow my option to 4cyl either E230/240

Now, I'm focus on comparation between those 2, thanks mate
E230 has a 4-cylinder 2.3L engine
E240 has a 6-cylinder 2.6L V-engine!!!
