Blue puff on start
had this for nearly two years. I was told that my valves were probably wearing, which was hard to believe with barely 100k on the odometer at the time it started. It really wasn't burning oil so I lived with it, as annoying as it was.
Took my car into a new mechanic for an oil change and he noted oil down the side of the filler tube and side of the engine. I assumed it was sloppy mechanics spilling it. He said my oil filler cap was worn out and replaced it. He told me the compression loss was sucking oil up into the valves causing it to ignite on start.
4k miles later, no more blue puffs.
