How do I bypass the NSS on my 2000 E320
Hello,
Ok I cant get my car to start. It doesn't turn over but I can hear the fuel pump kick in and I have tried many different things. I have checked the battery and it is fine. I want to try bypassing the NSS. I have heard that there is a three pin connector under the hood but I cant find it nor can I find where the NSS is on the tran. Any help would be great.

Not the nss
that is for sure./
Have you tried charging the battery when volts go below a set minimum everything from lights to FP will run and the old girl will still not turn over.so how many volts is the Battery that you checked out putting out under load?
BTW the NSS is part of the gear recognition switch so you won't find it under the hood or on the 722.6 transmission even if it were the problem which it is not![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

Agree with the above from Oh Lord. Full battery charge is critical to these beasties. A trickle charger while stored is a good preventive maintenance. Bat life for the oem standard battery is 4-6 years and for the oem black gel cell battery is 5-9 years. The black battery is found alot in the wagons and runs about 200$ at the dealer I believe.
