just bough a 01 E320
1) do all 01 come with navi?
2)when I put the car in reverse, and drive back a little bit, and while its still rolling a little bit, and I put in D gear, it makes a rough move, like its trying to grip on to go, but cant, and only after that, it grips. That whole process is for a second or 2
3) what kind of engine oil should i use?
4) where can i get the updated software for that navi?
5) and i think thats pretty much it. the car drives smooth, shifts smooth, downshifts smooth.
6) any special suggestions?

Learn to come to a stop in reverse before shifting. The factory recommended oil is any Spec. 229.3 or 229.5 MB approved oil. The easiest one to find is Mobil 1 Synthetic 0W-40 European Car Formula. Pretty much at all auto parts stores such as Pepboys, Autozone, etc. and even WalMart. Now about $7/qt. You also need to use a polyester (fleece) media filter. With the proper oil and filter you can use the car's computer to tell when the next service is due. See FFS+ in owners manual. The FSS will monitor your driving habits and oil quality and adjust the service cycle automatically. It will prompt you on the display when routine service is needed.
Since I don't have NAV I'll say at the dealer, but I see them available at online sites such as eBay and CL as well.
Also, go to mbusa.com and join. It's free. Input all your info VIN, address, etc. After you join check in the Owners Section for a link to a pdf of an owners manual you can download. BTW, did you know that now that you own a MB they will send a MB service vehicle if you are stranded to provide a little gas, battery jump or change a tire FREE? They will also come out and put in a new MB battery for just the price of the battery. Finally, they'll arrange for a tow but you'll have to pay for the tow. This is just because you are an owner. Even if you are the 4th owner of a 12 year old car. Pretty cool.
When you call 1-800-FOR MERCedes they may also ask for your VIN even though you registered at mbusa.com. If there are any open service campaigns for your car they'll send you a letter.
Finally, lots of the questions you will have have been asked before. You can use the search feature of this forum to get an immediate answer. But please feel free to post any questions too.
