was driving down the highway with the a/c on and then noticed that the a/c was off and back in ec mode. now i cant get it off the ec mode.everything was working perfectly till this happened. is there any obivious things i should look at? can anyonne point me to threads i missed during my searches? maybe the relay? the climate control seems to function normally minus the a/c.

Pull the codes. Reset them. See if it works. Lookup the codes. You can find good diagnostic information if you google MBworld.org and benzworld.org.
