Help a newbie out pls

I'm really new to Mercedes and even newer to finding aftermarket parts. Could someone point me in the right direction for aftermarket parts (headers, intakes superchargers etc)? BTW- Hey

Hello & welcome!

AMS does headers & pulley systems... currently on special, check out their page here

Superchargers, there are some kits floating around (like Kleeman) but they are pretty expensive... and for the V8 models I believe - V6s, not sure.

Can't think of anything else really, our cars our getting pretty old now and aftermarket parts are starting to dry up, not that they were ever around in abundance anyway.

Thanks for the info/help, i'm aware of the lack of performance parts, I'm looking at the possibly of buying an AMG SC and retrofitting it.
Already ordered a set of 20in HRE 891R's, KWv2 coilovers and a Remus exhaust. Hopefully AMS still has that stage 2 performance upgrade (with the headers for my E320). After that a clean VIP style body kit and i'm good.


BTW- i've been building cars (mostly Japanese imports) and I have a buddy who works at a dealership near me so i'm psyched i'm not gonna get raped on installation costs.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
AMG is a v8

m113 engine,you won't be putting that later 5.5 sc onto your m112 v6.
Headers are a waste of time on the m112 far too little bang for the buck.
You are headed down a long road of disappointing experiences going to 20 inch rims and the hubris about not getting soaked on labor costs will wear off once you crack a few rims and wear through 20inch tires on a yearly basis.
But hey it's your ride.
My suggestion do some homework before you mess it up.

if you're super keen on supercharging it just try get one fabricated for you... as opposed to trying to find a kit or getting the AMG one.

as for 20s, it's doable, but it'll be hardwork.

HREs are heaps nice though!

The SC from the C32 AMG will fit. Lots of work required, though. I would go rear turbo instead unless you find a good deal on an SC kit.

V6 Headers are worth at best 10-12 hp at the high end of the rpm scale according to AMS. $500 for 10 hp is not a great return on investment. Please do yourself a big favor and don't exceed 18 inch rims the hoop is too large for everyday pothole fare and they do bend easily. After a year you will not get that annoying vibration out without some costly rework. The turning radius is not designed to accomdate such an extreme low profile tires and as OhLord says tires will be changing hands at your house frequently.The W210 suspension was not designed for that large of a rim and they simply do not fit the suspension profile geometry of the W210. Coilovers are a pricey way to go and even AMG and Brabus, to name two, did not see the value for ROI. Carefully plan your project and look twice before buying once. Hope this helps some.
