I think your car is a W211!! w210 not comes with distronic, anyway distronic is an optional system, you have the black sensor back the front grille in your car?

Unhappy

Thank you for your replies. I am not quite sure but here are the details.
It is E320 CDI Aantgarde Auto,
Year 2005
Diesel
3 Lt enine.
I cannot see any sensor on the front grill as such.
i only chose 210 because i was not sure how to post a question as i am new to this site. The reason that promted me is bcause in the Manual it mentions Distronic. And also, n the Cruise Control lever there is a push facility which says lim? or something like it which again am not sure what does it do but thouht was distronic button.

Hope i have clarified a bit and u can through some light on the subject. Also apooges for any confusion caused. Thank u again and await to hearfrom you soon.

your chassis code is known as the W211.

if you can't see a sensor on the front then I don't think you have distronic as an option. it wasn't a very popular option on the 211's I don't think, still quite pricey at that time.

that 'lim' thing you can see on the cruise control is kind of opposite to the cruise control. Cruise control ensures you don't go below a certain speed, ie you can accelerate more and then lift off and the car will resume the speed set.
'lim' ensures your car does not exceed a certain speed. by pressing the cruise control lever in, the light on the stalk will light up and then by moving it up and down your display will increase/decrease in mph/kmh depending where you are. if for example you set it to 50mph, and you accelerate, the car will reach the target set and then you won't be able to accelerate anymore (ecu cuts fuel to the engine or something).
if you're tempted to speed, it can save your licence in some cases. but is fiddly and I don't think many owners bother playing around with it...
