2003 S210 3.8L Brabus wagon
Rear wagon liftgate strut replacement
Is there an easy way of telling which strut is gone when one fails in the liftgate? I have not gotten around to this yet as the car was in storage for the winter and now it is iminent to be fixed. Anyone done this DIY? I have long since misplaced the diagram someone here had sent to me. thanks.

Look for a leak on the strut...The strut replacement is NOT easy Requires Headliner to be dropped at the rear

It doesn't seem to be too difficult
There is only a C pillar headliner to be removed, after that everything seems very straightforward. Check for the instructions here:
