Multi-contour heated seats ?

What wiring is needed for the install of the ses seats into a car that did not have this feature? I have the new seats but not the wiring harness unless it is part of the existing MB harnesses. I have the control module with the replacement seats but have dragged my feat on wiring them up. I also have the dash switches but could not find any extra leads in the harness for the heated functions. Anybody have any clues??? The dealer was not familiar with how to retrofit these seats and I want to use them.

I believe one of the moderators either here or at peachparts has done this retrofit. There are WIS procedures for each.

AN91.30-P-0001-01A "Retrofitting wiring harness for heated seats"

AN91.25-P-0001A "Retrofitting multi-contour seats"

You can join WIS for $18.95/day or they are on the W210 Service Manual DVD.

Also, you'll have to have the dealer code these options after installation since the car didn't come with them.

Thanks Richard for the input. Happy Fourth to you as well. I will dig for the DVD. Just wondering if the wiring already exists in the car or if new wire looms need to be purchased?

The drawing shows a wiring harness connecting the seats to the switches and running back to the fuse panel under the rear seat.

The vacuum lines run from the seat bladders thru the adjusters to the PSE pump. I think there is a spare set of connectors on the pump for the seats.

The conversion to heated seats is simple....Just lots of hours for the harness
Wire harness and switch row are added to the main harness

http://www.mbenznl.nl/index.php?opti...id=28&PageNo=1

I added Heated Seats Then Upgraded to a set of Heated/Vented/Multicontour
Seats for my 210

No version code changes re heated seats

One must version code the pse when adding multicontour option

The set I have is heated and multi contour. Do I need to purchase a new wire harness and if so where do I get that from? I have the switch panel and switches for the dash and the seats with the contour switch on the side of the seats. What other parts are required? Do I have make up the wire harness from scratch? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Mark
