The charcoal filter on your car is accessed by removing the horizontal cover above the passenger footwell. The filter is toward the center of the dash behind a 2" x 9" door. HOWEVER, the charcoal filter is not normally in use. There is a button on your climate control that routes incomming air through the charcoal filter, and some cars are supposed to automatically turn it on when a certain level of pollution is detected. The cabin air filters are the ones in near constant use and are the ones most likely to be plugged to the point of restricting the incomming air. They are accessed by removing the glove box, opening the door behind it, and removing and reinstalling BOTH pleated cabin air filters.
