Question Not ready

I have tried to get my MB E320 to pass inspection 5 times in the past week and it keeps failing due to EVAP, 2nd Sys and EGR Sys showing not ready. I was told to drive it betwn 20-100 miles each time and the monitors would set to ready. To date I have put over 350 miles on the car since the initial inspection try and it is still shows not ready today. I contacted MB service and they said they never hear of this problem before. I asked about the required drive cycles for this car and they knew nothing of this either. Just told me to bring the car in and they will take a look at it for $189 but can not assure it will pass inspection even after they work on it. If someone has had this issue and can offer a solution.....PLEASE DO. I don't know what to do next.

You would try replacing the O2 sensors first, & maybe cats too, common when not pass the polution proven

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
evap and secondary air are the hardest

to set i/m ready.Make sure the fuel tank is below 3/4 tank and above 1/4 tank and the cap is on fully.
Wait overnight so the engine is cold. Start the car and let it sit in park at idle for 20 minutes shut it off for 10 seconds and restart it and let it sit for 20 more minutes at idle. Then shut it off. wait 10 minutes and read the i/m code it should indicate evap ready. Secondary air start the car with engine cold and in park rev it to 1400 rpm and keep it there ten minutes let it idle for 10 seconds and shut it off wait ten seconds and repeat the 1400 rpm for 10 minutes test.
Then take the car for a ride on the freeway at no more than 3000rpm or in excess of 60 mph.Go about 25 miles shut it off for a few minutes and do the same return trip home. No a/c on and don't go over 60mph since that negates the test functions.
o2 and cats have nothing to do with either i/m status.
if you have no check engine light or failed sensors you just need to get the i/m back into ready state. This should do it.If you need the whole factory procedure pm me and i can send it to you.
depending on year you can have 2 not readys up tp my2000 cold starts after sitting overnight and no speeds above 60 or revs above 3000 are the keys. That and the 2 first procedures i listed.
keep us posted.
why were they set not ready?did you clear codes or unhook the battery for some reason?

Thank you for the response. I purchased this car June 2009 and it had been inspected (passed per sticker). Since I purchased it absolutely no work has been performed on the car other than the few cans of freon added in May this year. Battery never disconnected, no radio, alarm or anything has been replaced. Car has never been out of my sight except for the recent inspection. Have no idea how or why monitors set to not ready since the last inspection in 2009. Check Engine light not on nor any other alert/trouble lights. It has been checked for any leaks....nothing. All I've been instructed to do is drive it. BUT NOONE GAVE ME A SPECIFIC DRIVE PATTERN UNTIL YOU. Thanks again. I will try this procedure and pray it works. This is nerve racking and I must get it to pass inspection by 7/15 since the sticker is out.

People get the same problem after a tune with the W211s. It turns out the tuners take out the rear o2 sensors signals or something along the lines of that. I'd really take a good look at your rear o2 sensors. It showed the same symptoms of EGR not ready when they brought it to smog.
