How to replace a voltage regulator
Do you have pictures or instructions on how to replace the voltage regulator on a 2002 e320?
I have the alternator warning light and I was quoted $500 to replace the alternator. I read that the VR is the most common problem, but I have a hard time finding it. I purchased one for $30 and I am ready to do it.

The alternator is Bosch. I tried to create an account at Benzworld.org but I kept getting an error that I did not answer the SPAM question correctly. I could not make sense of what I was doing wrong, except that I have a newer computer and maybe things do not work correctly with IE8

I was very proud to have the alternator out. Then, the surprise to see the voltage regulator. It is very different from anything I found on-line. Any ideas? The P/N is BR14 M0 V14 F00M 145 247. It loks like this BMW one http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/cata...ELchrg_pg2.htm (12-31-7-559-183-M14)
