Question Who do you recommend for an extended warranty?

My E430 goes out of warranty at the endof June. Which warranty company do you use? Are you happy with this company's response to repair work needed?
Thanks for any info. I've looked at:

WarrantyDirect.com
G.E. Auto Waranty Services (being sold by the Benz dealership)
WarrantybyNet.com
Auto Advantage @www.autowarranties.com

Do you recommend an "Exclusionary" warrany or a "Named Component" warranty. The "Exclusionary" policy is similar to a bumper to bumper warranty, while the latter covers all the main parts of the car.

I went with Warranty Direct. So far no problems. I've had both rear electric window motors replaced, the lower control arm bushings replaced, the AC evaporator sensor replaced and the pasenger rear view mirror replaced. They authorized it all quickly with no problems. I have a $100 deductible for my policy.
I am happy with how they've managed me so far.

Extended Warranty

I've got about 28 hours to make up my mind on an extended warranty - my '00 can't be covered "bumper-to-bumper" as of January 1st: 42,000 babied miles aren't much (I'll probably never hit the 100,000 mark in the next 4 years), but about $50/month for peace of mind for the next 4 years isn't bad. The Warranty Direct people sound good, too. Any and all feedback would be much appreciated!

I think I'm gonna go with a warranty by Lisa Lehrbaum at Courtesy Motors (800) 655-3535. It's a Chrysler warranty that now includes MB and is pretty much bumper-to-bumper. For a 2000 S430 at 55,000 miles it's $3,590.

It excludes maintainance, services, items used in services, wear items like manual clutches, brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, belts, glass or plastic lenses, body and paint items including soft trim, snow plows, winches, and trailor hitches. Pretty good list in my opinion - covers the COMMAND system that's prone to fail, so I'm happy.

Check it out, it might be less for the E320 but dunno since you have 4Matic

Direct Warranty's, for everything you mentioned with the same exclusions, is $2455 for four years and up to 58,000 miles. And they pay by credit card, which is the way to go. What do you think?

Is that warranty direct? clco seems to have had a good experience with them, but for me their website says

We are sorry. Warranty Direct only provides protection to vehicles that are still covered under their original full factory warranty in the state of Florida.

Yeah, that's them. And I questioned it, because Wsiconsin has tough consumer protection laws, and some insurers tend to shy away (I had one guy try to get me to use my brother's address in Illinois!). I don't have the original l factory warranty going yet - never had it, as a matter of fact, as I bought the car last August from a Lincoln Mercury dealer - and it ahsn't come up in discussions. By the way, do you have an emerald CLK? I'd like to see that!

That should be good then. You can also try calling up your dealer to see if they have ever dealt with the company

Very nice CLK! I like my brilliant silver car, but I still have a fondness for that dark green (my '97 E420 was that color). You don't see that color much in general, but on any C? Don't think so! I'm leaning toward that Warranty Direct outift...damn, I hate these sorts of decisions! But thanks for your input.

Which Warranty?

How is Auto Advantage? www.autowarranties.com.

I am thinking of buying extended warranty from them. Currently, I have 66,600 miles on my 2002 E-Class.

Please advice if any other warranty companies are good.

I think I came across their website a while ago...search the forum and see if anyone else has ever dealt with them. You might wanna try Lisa Lehrbaum at Courtesy Motors (800) 655-3535 to see if she can offer you anything. If you call and don't get through, leaving a message usually doesn't work very fast, so just try calling back like 10 mins later
