Help!

Recently purchased a 2000 e320, for the first few weeks no problems at all untill yesterday. A very loud grinding and squeaking noise started coming from the front right tire. I assumed pads needed to be replaced, so I bought new pads and removed to tire to only find that the existing pads were perfectly fine, and that so was the rotor...??? After removing the tire, i noticed that the rotor was slightly loose, as in i good push on it and it would move a centimeter or so.

The noises started coming after I went to a local store, and realized that the center wheel cap to the front right tire was missing, as if someone was messing with it.

Any ideas as to what this problem can be?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Don't drive

it till you inspect or have inspected the rotor fitting and the wheel bearing

something is worn or loose if the rotor can be moved.

Don't risk it.
