2005 E320 4matic wagon
differential oil change in 4 matics
Looking for some help to change oil in front diff in 1998 E320 4 matic. Can't locate the front diff, about where is it under the car? I plan to use synthetic 90W in both front & rear units. My first time changing this oil, any advice?
Does the transfer case take the same oil? Anything complicated with that oil change? Thanks

MB recommends a special lube for 4MATIC transfer cases. Part No. A001 989 23 03 11. I imagine it's a dealer only item.
For differentials many use Mobil 1 Synthetic 75W-90 which is carried by most auto parts stores. Tip: For differentials always make sure you can loosen the fill plug before draining.
