Friends 1999 E430 engine rough with AC on
My friend has 1999 e430 with 115k miles on it. Well maintained and looks like new. When he drives with the ac on he says that the engine feels very rough and when we turn the car off we can hear a belt making a very loud noise for a few seconds after. I know the ac puts extra pressure on the engine but this seems excessive?

Have him
press the ec button on the climate control to fully turn it off(compressor)does that clear up the roughness?
If not check motor mounts for leakage they collapse and cause vibrations often felt like misfires.
