Dash Lights Color Change
Can the the color of the instrument cluster be changed from orange to blue. Has anyone done this, where did you get it, how much$ and is this a DIY type job or did you take it to the shop?
Any help would be appreciated! I'm going with a blue theme in the car since I have the blue illuminated dooor sills installed.

The bulbs in the cluster are 1.3w bulbs. You can dip them...I don't have a bulb in hand, but I think you can actually take the bulb off the hardness...and if that is the case, you might be able to put some led on them....just a thought.

Thanks so much for the post. They look great and should really enhance my dash. I'm a lighting freak and will post some pics one day when I finish all my lighting mods or after the car catches on fire from drawing too many amps for my light show. LOL

I remember when the newer VW came out with the blue dash lights and the red switch lights people were amazed. It looked like a bloody aircraft.

Ian, you are the man. As soon as I have a minute I am going to check this website out and see what I can do. I speak Greek (it was not listed) as well as Spanish and checked it out. It really does work. I just wanted to be sure that when I asked the the German speaking person about a part, that I wasn't really asking him about his mom or something. lol
