I feel for you! It's really bad the inline 6 CDI was never delivered in the USA. There's a lot of debate on Dutch/German forums. The Inline CDI seems to be more smooth whereas the newer V6 CDI seems to give more of a push in the back ride experience.
My car is a rare find though. Dealer maintained until 2009 so any recall or software (Comand etc.) is done and upto spec. A/C seems to have had a recent repair/refill. Rotors look brand new etc. And I'm just the third owner. I'll try to take a few outside pics today and add them...

I'll trade your my avantgarde grill for yours 
I always liked the classic/elegance grill better, very "old-school" Mercedes classiness, on a dark car tho, on a silver like yours the ava grill does look better
EDIT: also, I see another CDI wagon in the background, now THAT is rare in the USA since we only got the E300 in sedan over here.
