Coolant replacement in an aftermarket radiator...HELP!

Coolant replacement in an aftermarket radiator...HELP!
My car got into a little undercarriage accident.
GEICO is recommending that the body shop replace my radiator with an aftermarket.
I told the body shop manager to make sure to put MB antifreeze, but I just got a call from him...He said his supplier told him that he can use any antifreeze in the radiator.
QUESTION?- The request to use either an MB or Zerex G05 antifreeze, is that to prevent the radiator OR the engine???
They are guaranteeing their work or any related incident for the life of the car....well, as long as I owned the car...Should I be CONCERNED??

It is to protect the engine.You don't want it turning into slush.
If your pre face is an M104 iron block any good af will do.

I believe it is an M104...its a '96...how can I be 100% sure though??? thanks
