cd changer problems with comand hu
i have a 3198 cd changer connected to my 2.0 comand hu. The cd changer is not working. When I try to run the d2b wakeup test I get the message " First this test ring must be open" Does anyone know what this means. Please help.

If it won't eject, you've got an electrical or mechanical issue, beyond just talking to the headunit. You probably have to remove it, take it apart, and get the cassette ejected. Then test again.
I would look for a used unit off eBay, or consider an iPod adapter.
I assume you have a '00 or newer?

I think you have a bad MOST/D2B optica ring initialization. you solve this with a star diagnosis in the D2B control unit adaptation.. See the "ACTUAL adaptation" & match them with the "REAL adaptation" all component need to match the same position in ACTUAL vs. REAL adaptation.
Anyway.. i have you a monkey soution to extract the cartdrige: push the green button & quickly stike strong with your fingers directly to the magazine repidetly times. repeat the process some time & the pop off (is pretty common issue in this cd changer models)
