Thank you guys for answering me. In fact My car has already factory OEM Comand 2.0 installed and steering wheel controls. So I don't need any wood trim for installing e recent HU. Since the W210 original 2 din opening/aperture is bigger/larger then the standard 2 din aftermarket head unit, I only need the black plastic Frame around the HU.
gtrogue's photo. I surrounded the frame I need in red:
If anyone can give the reference and model of that frame it would be much appreciated. I have been searching for that Frame's right size for ages. Thank You
I like the double din, but due to how hard it is to find the pieces I would just rather do a single din motorized screen. $350 for a nice Pioneer or JVC.

The trim is on ebay, comes in a sheet you cut to fit. It is black, but you could paint it. It is called ABS , I got 2, 12x12x 1/8" sheets for $13. Here is mine, I only needed to fill it at the bottom.
@sixbangr
Oh I see. It's a ABS piece to cut and fit as needed. I guess there is no ready made Frame adapters for the w210 double din size out there right? Your HU looks great. What's the model of your Kenwood (can not see clearly in the pic)?

DNX773S and I really like it. At first I centered the radio and had the trim on top and bottom. I decided to move it up and put it on the bottom only. My radio is where the hvac and stock single din were. I cut the stock bezel and moved the hvac to the cubby above the ashtray.
Sorry, I can't help other than to say I removed the climate control and relocated to ashtray then cut the two remaining singles slots into a double slot, the slot is then a little 'sloppy' as it is bigger than it needs to be. The installer I used did incorporate a black, plastic frame around the unit to trim it out but it's not completely square, and the HU sticks out a little instead of looking flush like in your picture - I don't know where he got the piece from. If I had to do it over again I would have simply replace the old radio with a single din unit.
If it helps anyone, I found out searching, trying and measuring that a Frame kit made for 2001-2005 M series (ML) should have the right outside size for the w210 Factory 2 din slot. I could only measure it in a friend's ML 2004, didn't have a chance to try it yet in my w210 double slot. The inside size also should fit for standard 2 din HU, but it has to be sanded for bigger/larger HUs like 7in 3/8 L x 4in 5/8 W/17.8cm x 10.2cm. Other Frame kits may be compatible but that's all I know for now.

That frame is the same size that comes with a double din. You will still need to fill the rest with a piece of abs. I just went out and measured mine. My Kenwood came with the metal gage and the plastic frame.

I think the frame made for ML slot is bigger/taller then standard double din frames. If I'm not wrong, ML 7in 3/8 L x 4in 5/8 W vs Standard 7in 3/4 L 4in 3/8 WFrames.
I did not have to do any conversion job as my car is factory equipped with the double din slot (but bigger then standard 2din slots). If my measuring was correct, it has about the same size as the ML 2001-2005 2din slot: 7in 3/8 L x 4in 5/8 W(19cm x 12cm)
Great. Can you please give the brand/model of your HU? That would help me a lot.
By the way, Great thread about your "Brabus" w210. Do you still own that Car?

hey man... my bud Slammed_C has done it up in Toronto.... look here for inspiration .... http://www.mymbonline.com/forum/view...r=asc&start=50 .... i was going to do it but a little too much trouble and effort (it's hard to find the wood trim), so went with the single din replacement for now.... if you want i can email you an 8-page pdf write up of a 1-din to 2-din conversion .... good luck!
Sorry guys, new here and apologies for hijacking a 10-year old thread. any chance you guys still have a soft copy of that PDF?
We installed a single din motorized unit in my sons 98. It’s a cheap Jensen DVD player with Bluetooth and Sirius ready and back up camera. Works great. They make better more expensive ones with GPS and everything, But it’s all he needed and wanted. Yes it covers the HVAC controls but when it’s in Auto you don’t need to touch them. And if you needed to you could flip the screen to access the controls. It’s now 2 years old and has no issues. It did lock up once, but it has a rest button that fixed that.
