Do dealers do complete fluid changeout for valve body overhaul?

Got a killer deal on a beautiful 1998 E300TD (no pics yet as she is dirty from Ohio snowy interstates) with 131k miles ($5k). The Carfax shows she had her valve body rebuilt in 2006 by a dealer in NJ. Anybody ever had this done and know whether they would replace all the fluid during this or only what was in the pan? I noticed too that the transmission cooler was flushed at ~16k. As I haven't been under the car yet I am assuming this is the one in the bottom of the radiator? New to Benz and diesels. Haven't tried calling the servicing dealer yet, but that will be my next step.
Thanks!

Answering my own question, I pulled this tidbit
"It is acceptable to drain the oil out into a clean container and reuse it, provided it was collected using the MB filter funnel."
from
http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/sh...t=25566&page=3

so looks as thought it might be possible I have original fluid. Will keep my question updated.

Since you know the dealer who did the work why not just ask? If they will pull up the service invoice it will say how many quarts of fluid used and you will have your answer.

Sounds like the car was well taken care of. Consider yourself luckier than most.

it is extreemly unlikely that the oil was reused. I've never seen a dealer do that. The oil would likely get contiminated and dealers want to sell transmission fluid
