2003 S210 3.8L Brabus wagon
The W210 suspension dynamics and geometry were never designed to handle a 20 inch rim. They may look great in design and HRE are well built rims but that is way too big for this suspension to perform well and deliver a decent ride. 18s would be max recommendation for the W210. Ride gets progressively harsher as the rim diameter goes up and sidewall shrinks. Also performance drops off since the weight of the rim and tire combo increases with increase in rim diameter. A stock oem 16 inch set up weighs in at about 47 lbs and an 18 inch set up with a 245x40x18 tire can weigh 64 lbs. Unsprung weight is going up and requires more energy to turn. this would be comparing a cast rim to a cast rim of larger diameter. A forged rim is lighter depending upon the manufacturer.
