You can do this mod: https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...sable-mod.html for a possible slight inprovement in MPG...

I am commuting about 50 miles a day. Highway but 1/2 is start stop in heavy traffic. I have been betting low 30's. Just put in power service diesel additive in last two
tanks. I'm noticing a big difference in fuel consumption for the better. Keep in mind mine is a NA engine not turbo. 211k so far. Might want to give the additive a try.

The worst advice the Dutchman could give you would be to fool around with or dismantle the EGR system. He may be a wonderkid, but he SAS ain't an auto engineer.

Our cars don't need any additives. What they do need is good water free filtered fuel and every 150K miles the injectors removed, tested and repaired if needed. Ask any truck stop where they send their injectors for testing and repair.
