What do I do with the vacuum assist lines?
I've just imported a Japanese-spec 1997 AMG E50 into Canada and have replaced the original, halogen and vacuum headlights (which are for left hand traffic like they have in Japan) with OEM Mercedes xenon units (for right hand traffic use). They work fine.
The originals had a purple vacuum line attached to each of them, but the xenon ones don't. I've disconnected them since there's nothing to attach them to on the xenons. My question is, what do I do with those vacuum lines now? I assume I should cap it off near the start, but I'd like to be sure first.
Some pictures follow showing the tube where it originates and where they connected to the old housings.
Above: see the purple line?
Below: where one line attached
Thanks in advance.

Several years on, does anyone know a source for that kit "B6 680 99 10" for pre-facelift models? The number supplied by Fabio D at post #11?
Last week, I spent an amusing four hours removing the sensors from the suspension (front & rear), control unit (under the back seat), and the entire (I think) xenon wire harness from a badly wrecked (hit in front) '99 in a JY, and it was not a lot of fun, even being able to bash and cut items that were in the way of harness removal. I did it mostly for the experience; I do not think I can re-use this harness. A kit such as Fabio D purchased and documented would be a better choice for me, if it is still available.
