Smile Belt Tensioner Pully Removal

Hello all,

New member here

I am needing to remove the tensioner pully from my 2000 W210 as the central bearing is worn, and making a chirping noise.

I can't seem to undo the central bolt at the front of the pully.

Can anyone tell me is there a particular procedure for removing this part? Does the whole assemby need to be removed, or can I just undo this bolt?

Thanking you all for your help.

Best wishes

The pulley is sold as part of the tensioner assembly so there is no point in trying to remove just the pulley.
