stop driving it
quit trying to work the switches
use the SEARCH feature and search the 210 forum using words like "spilled liquid"
read of the many tips and suggestions already posted. not one is correct for
every spilled situation. if you don't follow the first two suggestions above,
you risk up to $1000 damage in parts/labor.

LOL, dont ya hate it when that happens, I've done that before.
MB's are pretty good about fixing themselves, wait it out a bit till it fully drys. My last MB wagon got flooded pretty bad, drain plug under the rear seat where the battery sits in the wagons was missing and my entire battery compartment and thus fusebox got completely flooded which caused pretty much every elecrical component to go NUTZ, wiper wouldnt turn off, bunch of MIL light on dash got lit up, dome light wouldnt turn off, etc, but after a day of letting it dry out, everything, I mean literally EVERYTHING went back to normal as if nothing ever happened.
I was truely amazed as I for sure taught that my entire car was toast.

Under the seat
by the battery is a whole nuther situation than the shift module.
A wet battery box and pse are not as easily fried as the shift module. Waiting it out is not going to solve the issue. Drying it properly will and not starting or driving it until you do properly dry it will help in trying to save it.
I have shift modules but they are no 150 bucks with warranty.
Give me a call (pm for cell number)and I can talk you through the drying and what chemicals to use. Hopefully you did not fry it with continued trying.
Lucky you didn't go into limp modethat will be the next issue if you keep running it.
