722.6 Tuning?!
(these guys are raising fuel line pressure and mounting AMG injectors and larger intercoolers)
"If you have TCU Siemens SG53 you can recode TCU via SD to AMG setup which allows a little more torque, but if you have SG52 you cant...."
Anyone ever heard about this? I guess the dealer won't ever do this for you!
Haven't heard of this before. I'd also post in the W211 forum since those vehicles in NA have the 320 diesel engine. Also, check out www.peachparts.com. There are a ton of diesel tuning guys on there.

I have no intention to mess with my engine other than disable EGR.
The straight-6 320CDI is a VERY strong setup with each piston having it's own conrod and throw on the crankshaft, in the newer V6 these are shared. Tuning the straight-6 almost immediatly gets you into 400CDI torque territory and I don't want to risk my tranny! The first W211 400CDI's have been known to destroy a 722.6 box here and there. These problems were solved with the arrival of the new 7-speed auto.
