<!-- google_ad_section_start -->hi i have a w210 eclass 280 avantgarde 1996 i have just changed the interior from cloth to leather but with a major problem my cloth seats were manual but my leather ones are electric and they are from an amg with multi function door cards so what i am asking is what do i need to get these seats to work properly my original seats are in the dump so i can.t convert the leather ones to manual so i do need some help if possible many thanks. p.s the amg is no longer here either they crushed it after using it as a stock car.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

It has all
the motors. You need a good auto electrician to trace the wires and supply power and aftermarket switches to each function.

hi thanks for your reply, i have the wiring loom for the seats which i got from mercedes at a cost but i just need to get the amg door cards multi function wiring loom do you know if these are universal.

The system
needs to be programmed via the sds.
If you have the loom and all the multifunction controls and can install then pm member raymond or see if he replies to this post. He has the wiring diagrams etc.

thanks for that reply i will buy the amg wiring loom or harness for the door cards from mercedes i have the multi function box on both door cards so hopefully i can just hook it all up with a bit of fiddling here and there and they will work.

That is where
the problems lie. Your car model did not have the integrated control systems to make utilization of the newer amg seats. Going to take more than a bit of fiddling around.
I think on a 1996 you would be better off hard wired functions to aftermarket switch controls as first suggested.
