wheels for 2000 Lorinser wagon
Hi all,
sorry if you've read this post before, but I'm still undecided on what size wheels to go with for my 2000 E320 wagon. The car is slightly lowered w/ Lorinser springs and I'm trying to decide between 17 and 18" wheels. Equally important, can somebody tell me what's the largest width/size I can go without scraping or "rolling" the fenders? I've seen some nice really nice ones ranging from 7.5" up to 9."
Thank you.

Word of caution. Tuning is a game of millimeters. Some fitments that work for one car may not work for another, even if the same car. You have to be prepared to modify or make corrections for your particular car if problems occur.
I had a big shock when I upgraded from 18X8 et31 to 18X8 et35 using the same size tire up front (245/40/18). The broad shouldered tire (Nitto 555) rubbed inside and I had to switch back to a more rounded tire (Dunlop 9000) and their is absolutely no room inside with just a 4mm inward wheel change. I could not hear the rubbing and only found out by luck.
