My Pioneer and Rockford Fosgate Setup

So after months of research I have decided to take out the inferior Bose system in the car. I tried to run the Pioneer route as much as possible. The only elements that were not Pioneer are the sub amp and the sub.
Here’s my setup:

Head Unit <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Pioneer AVH-P6300BT 7-Inch In-Dash DVD A/V Receiver with iPod/iPhone Control, Bluetooth, and Pandora

Speakers
Front Door: Pioneer TS-D1702R 6.75 In. 2-Way Speaker with 280 Watts Max. Power
Rear Door: Pioneer TS-D1302R 5.25 In. 2-Way Speaker with 180 Watts Max. Power
Rear Deck: Pioneer TS-A1684R A-Series 6 1/2" 4-Way 350 Watts

Amps
Pioneer GM-6500F 4-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier
Rockford Fosgate Prime R1000-1D 1000 Watt Mono Amplifier

Sub
Rockford Fosgate Punch P3L-S12 Shallow Single P3S 12-Inch Pre-Loaded Enclosure

Accessories
Pioneer CD-IU50V USB Interface Cable for iPod/iPhone
Pioneer ND-BC4 Universal Rear View Camera
Rockford Fosgate RFK4D 4 AWG Dual Amplifier Install Kit

I have decided not to get the Nav module as the Pioneer nav isn't that great and reviews were pretty bad. We couldn't get the Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface to work so I am just going to use the remote. My buddy also installed a relay for the parking brake so the video works without the parking brake on (video is going to be view off road or when it's parked , of course)

Bose Speakers. Note: The rear doors are in fact 3 1/2''. Most websites info are incorrect. Top are the so called deck Subwoofers 6 3/4", center are the front door speakers 6 1/4"

Front Passenger door:

The little Bose amp located in the upper left in the trunk behind the carpets:

Trunk:

Back up camera:

Radio on. You can customize the color so the amber can match very closely with the OEM lights.

Day and night difference comparing to the Bose. It was squeaking like a little mouse and now it is roaring like a lion.

I can hear lows, mids and highs much better now; with the 12" sub, it's pumping like a thunderstorm. It adds more surround sound with the added 4 way speakers on the rear deck. Very satisfy with the system.

I just bought a Single Din Flip Out and I was wondering how you switched the wiring from the A/C unit down to where the radio wiring was and vice versa. Sorry if I'm bringing back dead posts but your setup is similiar to what I want mine to be.

The wires are long enough to stretch so you can just unplug them and switch it. You will need the radio keys to remove the A/C unit

i just picked a single-DIN-er, also. haven't had time to install it yet (Pioneer AVH-P6400BT). going to do the rear camera. perhaps a forward camera, too.

I know this is 2 years old, but does this require rewiring the whole system just to install a head unit? I have the Bose system and I know the older ones in most cars had to be bypassed and all speakers replaced at the initial h/u install. I just want to get the cassette player out for now and I'll figure out the rest later....

...I hope

No worries. You don't need to rewire the whole system. My first setup was a 1-din alpine CD player with this

That's all you need.
